Excellence in Public Finance

The LVMWD Finance team works to ensure the District financial policies are both sound in their principles or operating in a cost effective manner and transparent to our rate payers.  For 20 years the LVMWD Finance department has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) by receiving their  Distinguished Budget Award. Receipt of the award reflects the hard work of Finance staff in ensuring the completion of a comprehensive budget document that meets our industry’s best practices. It is also reflective of LVMWD’s long-standing dedication to transparency. In addition to the budget book, we have released a Budget in Brief that provides a high level overview of how LVMWD manages the resources entrusted to us from our customers.
