Schedule a School Field Trip

School teachers in the LVMWD/TWSD service area are invited to bring their students on a guided field trip to our potable, wastewater, recycling and composting facilities. Tours are offered at NO COST. Homeschools, Girl/Boy Scouts and other student groups are also welcome.

Together Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) and LVMWD have integrated engaging, interactive water studies into the 4th and 5th grade curriculum using existing LVUSD programs, supplemental classroom materials and teacher training provided free of charge.

Water Awareness Student Art Contest

Annually LVMWD hosts a water-wise art contest for K-12 students throughout our service area. Winning participants will have their artwork included in a LVMWD calendar.

Library Program

LVMWD has provided Calabasas, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village Libraries with a large collection of books and videos on a wide range of water-related topics, and new materials are added every year. 

Whether you’re working on project about the water cycle, planting a water-wise garden, thinking about a career in the water industry, or just curious about water issues, your local library has just what you’re looking for.
