WATER SAVINGS

Business activities, building size, landscape areas and other factors all contribute to different water needs. The District offers a variety of water-saving programs tailored to commercial users, including free water-use surveys and rebate programs that can help pay for more water-efficient plumbing fixtures, commercial equipment and other devices.

COMMERCIAL BILLING

Bills are calculated based on the amount of water used each month and a flat fee service charge. Sewer service charges for commercial customers are based on the quantity and strength of wastewater reaching the sewer from each distinct commercial customer.

SUB-METERING FOR SEWER FEE ADJUSTMENTS

Commercial customers can apply for LVMWD’s sub-metering program, which separately accounts for water that does (and does not) enter the sewer system, and can lower sewer charges. Applications and details are available by calling (818) 251-2236.

RECYCLED WATER FOR IRRIGATION

LVMWD provides two types of water for two different needs.  As a business, you  may have access to recycled "purple pipe" water for landscape irrigation at a lower cost than potable water.
