Westlake Pump Station Upgrades

(Updated June 6, 2016)

This project is one of the final components in the District’s multi-year “Backbone Improvement Program,” an infrastructure improvement initiative designed to ensure reliable water service to the Districts’ customers through improved flow volumes and system capacity under normal and emergency operating conditions.

During the week of June 6, work will commence on upgrading the Westlake Pump Station adjacent to Three Springs Park in Westlake Village.

The first elements of the project will include placing an onsite construction management office and internal electrical work at the facility.

This extensive project will replace older equipment, some of it in use since the 1970s.

Included in the project will be new electrically-powered pumps, replacing older natural-gas powered units, building maintenance and upgrades and the installation of a backup generator.
