Landscape and Water Conservation Fair

Las Virgenes Municipal Water District will be hosting more than twenty vendors with a variety of water conservation expertise:

  • native/drought tolerant plant vendors;
  • native/drought-tolerant landscape designers;
  • water conservation certified irrigation specialists;
  • customer representatives for weather based irrigation controllers;
  • an expert in rainwater harvesting systems;
  • and other conservation-related non-profits, businesses and agencies.

Outdoor watering is the largest single component of water use in our area, causing irrigation runoff that can carry pollutants to our streams and the Santa Monica Bay. As the state population increases and water deliveries from the Delta are restricted, our best strategy for ensuring long term supply reliability is to alter our landscaping habits.

Funded, in part, by a Grant from the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation.
